About the Role

Cowra Council is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to fill the position of Communications Officer in a job share capacity.  This key role reports to the General Manager and will be responsible for determining and implementing communication strategies, managing media relations, coordinating internal and external publications, advertising, marketing and Council’s online communication.

Applicants will need to have attained a tertiary qualification in public relations or related discipline, with knowledge of local government policies and practices being an advantage.

The successful applicant will have exemplary communication skills, the ability to manage stakeholder relationships at a high level and experience in key message development.
