About Cowra & Council

Cowra is located within beautiful Central NSW on the banks of the Lachlan River. It is approximately one hour from the regional hubs of Bathurst and Orange, two hours from Canberra and four hours from Sydney. About the Opportunity 

Cowra Council is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our professional Corporate Services team. The Revenue Officer is primarily responsible for the provision of timely and accurate rating services in accordance with Council’s procedures and statutory requirements to assist in the efficient and effective operation of the Finance division.

Reporting directly to the Manager - Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of rating control and supervise all Council's rating processes and procedures, including debt recovery.  Working within a dedicated team, this key role will require high level communication and relationship skills with a focus on providing high level customer service.  Experience in a similar position within Local Government would be an advantage, along with relevant tertiary qualifications.

Employment conditions are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award. Candidates must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this position.

The role has been evaluated as being Grade 40 of Council's salary structure and offers a competitive salary circa $83,103 to $93,533 (depending on skills and experience) plus superannuation.
